The Amber Airship

The Amber Airship is part of a personal project set in an industrial fantasy world. In this world, resources are scarce, so the airship has been cobbled together by salvaging parts from broken ships, planes and other scrap. Built by its crew, this merchant vessel travels the skies supplying the people with the tools to survive.

When building this airship, my main focus was on trying to add detail through the textures onto a simple low poly model. I also wanted to experiment with hand-painted textures, as I have always loved this aesthetic. In the end, I think this greatly helped in creating the look and feel of a ship pulled together piece by piece.
