This Tyrannosaurus Rex asset was made as part of a personal project with the aim of learning ZBrush, and also improving my rigging and skinning abilities inside of 3ds Max. Over the last 4 years, this has been my go to project whenever I have needed to learn a new skill, from morph targets, wire parameters and animation, to finally lighting and rendering in Unity before switching to Unreal and doing it all again. I'm very happy to finally get it all wrapped up!
I aimed to have the Tyrannosaur fit within the 'Jurassic Park' style of dinosaur, rather than going for a modern interpretation, or something more fantastical. As a young child, the original 'Jurassic Park' sparked my interest in movies and CGI technology, so it was only fitting that I model my T-Rex after the dinosaurs I grew up watching.
