Studio Props - Martell

'Martell: Be the Artist' is a VR out-of-home experience created to promote the Martell cognac brand. VR booths were set up in airports around the world to allow players to step inside a virtual art studio and express their creativity. This tied into Martell's marketing campaign featuring a limited edition bottle designed by photographer Mathilde de L'Ecotais.
This environment was a joint effort by Timur Mehmet, Becky Scott, Lorchan Trapp and myself. As well as working on level design, lighting, and VFX, my main role in this project was prop creation. In order to ensure that the space felt lived in, we needed a huge variety of art supplies and household objects. To help with this task, I created a shader that would colour parts of the objects using vertex colours rather than textures, which was especially useful for props such as paint cans and tubes, which have many label and bottle colours.
