Apache's first own-IP title, BARDO is a fast-paced, atmospheric action game for VR. Trapped in the void between death and rebirth, embody the essence of a Tibetan archer and confront hordes of corrupt Tsen spirits.
I worked closely alongside Timur Mehmet, who sculpted and modelled the enemies. As well as helping with the modelling and animation of the Tsen Bomber enemy, my main responsibility was animating the Tsen Titan, who was the final boss of the game.
The Tsen Titan was a huge challenge, as we wanted him physically to be at a massive scale. His animations needed to work with and around the environment, and VFX were essential to helping him feel grounded. We also needed the animations to provide gameplay feedback for the player, and all of this together made for a very complex character!
